Peronia Adolescente is a youth-led community organization founded in 2004 by young local artists and activists from Ciudad Peronia, an impoverished urban barrio on the outskirts of Guatemala City. Peronia Adolescente works to promote opportunities for comprehensive education, leadership and civic participation to teenagers and young people from the community through a unique methodology of games, alternative sports and the arts.
